NPA Shares Love with Inmates of Accra Psychiatric Hospital to Mark Fathers” Day
The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has donated essential supplies to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital in Accra in commemoration of Fathers”Day and Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.
The donation, which was made on Saturday, June 20, 2026, formed part of the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach which aims
at improving patient care and supporting efforts to raise awareness about men’s mental wellbeing.
The items presented included mattresses, toiletries, detergents and food items, as well as other essential supplies to support the hospital’s daily operations.
In his remarks , Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at the NPA, Mr. Maxwell Ampadu, said the initiative reflects the Authority’s commitment to compassion, dignity and social support for vulnerable groups, beyond its regulatory mandate in the downstream petroleum sector.
Receiving the the items on behalf of the hospital,a Senior Nurse, Ms Vida Tetteh, thanked the NPA for the kind gesture and indicated that the items would greatly support the care giving for the inmates of the hospital.
NPA RECEIVES DRIVERS REST STOP/PARK FROM ROCK AFRICA
Our Chief Executive, Mr Godwin Tameklo, has received from ROCK AFRICA, and ultra modern Tanker Drivers Park at the BOST Kumasi Depot.
The facility- a place of rest and rejuvenation is intended to support the welfare, operations and safety of fuel tanker drivers.
The Chief Executive of NPA expressed gratitude for the benevolence and noted that, the facility will re-write the unpleasant narrative of drivers and their mates stopping to rest on the shoulders of your road when tired. He called on other industry players to emulate the example of ROCK AFRICA.
The Chief Executive of ROCK AFRICA, Mr Francis Gavor reiterated the company’s commitment to improving the working conditions of drivers.
Receiving the rest facility from the NPA on behalf of the drivers, the Chairman of the Tanker Drivers Union, Mr George Nyaunu pledged on behalf of the drivers to maintain the facility with the highest standards.
