BREAKING: The US Joint Typhoon WarnIng Center (JTWC) has upgraded #FungWong (PH: #UwanPH) to a Category 4 major typhoon, with 1-min winds of 115 kts (~215 km/h) near the center and a central pressure of 943 hPa.

When converted to 10-min winds, it would be around 185 km/h, which aligned with PAGASA's current wind intensity.

Lower pressure = more intense / stronger

Disclaimer: JTWC is using 1-minute average sustained winds, hence, a higher wind intensity value compared to JMA and PAGASA that uses 10-min sustained winds.
