We met our 4th grade POD buddies last week and we had an absolute BLAST! Each partnership interviewed each other and then created a secret handshake! We can’t wait to see our buddies again! ❤️ @VaughnElemFISD
We learned about changes in matter and how heating and cooling can take a liquid to a solid and a solid to a liquid. This experiment was so much fun as we got to take a frozen popsicle and watch the heat melt it! We are LOVING our new science curriculum! ❤️ @VaughnElemFISD
One of my favorite ways to get my kids up and mixing around for morning meeting is Hullabaloo! It gives them a fun way to move around the room, a fun way to greet their partner and something to share with their partner! @VaughnElemFISD
We loved having @eagertolearnSoo in our classroom teaching us about bees. We learned new vocabulary with motions through total physical response! @VaughnElemFISD
We loved having @eagertolearnSoo in our classroom teaching us about bees through Total Physical Response! The kiddos loved putting actions to the new vocabulary words they were learning!! 🐝 @VaughnElemFISD
One of my guided reading groups got creative with their nonfiction books we read. We learned all about water, then they used @canva to create a poster to show all they learned. We are printing them out for the group to share with the class! #vaughnsoakupthesun@VaughnElemFISD
Today I got the opportuntiy to watch @mceneryfirst do her thing during guided reading! This group focuses heavily on word work, and I love that she keeps the word patterns front and center as they read! Way to go Katie! #VaughnSoakUpTheSun@VaughnElemFISD
I got to see the one and only @mendyhayes do her thing in math today! Her small group targeted students who needed specific reteach on a math tool. Her whole group lesson was so interactive and engaging! She used total physical responses to review vocabulary! #vaughnsoakupthesun
I have made it a goal of mine this school year to incorporate total response signals into my teaching to increase student engagement. It gets all students participating. This is a great article explaining the importance for all students.#vaughnsoakupthesun https://t.co/42CBz51wKf
