🚨 BREAKING: Boreham Wood chairman Danny Hunter has issued an update on the Abdulmalik transfer situation in his programme notes for tomorrow's game.
Hunter says he feels he must “stand up to outside noise, to see passive-aggressiveness for what it is” - and says recent press leaks “are unhelpful to all concerned as they unsettle the player unnecessarily and just add to the noise, the me, me, me culture and poor behaviour.”
On Abdulmalik’s current situation, Hunter says:
🗣️ “Abdul is refusing to train with us or play, though he is still very much our player and has two years left on his contract.”
Hunter says Abdulmalik has “downed tools” and adds:
🗣️ “If I was a betting man, and I’m not, I would expect, when the transfer window closes next Tuesday, that an unhappy Abdul will still be with us.”
Hunter says the club’s valuation has already been reduced by £350k, but the door remains open:
🗣️ “If the buying club wants to agree the add-ons and finalise a transfer agreement, then let’s get on with it, as I’m ready and waiting.”
"Prem proven" is a psyop engineered by the Brentford-class to trick Big Six elites into overpaying for average players, thereby lowering the quality ceiling of the league so it appears "competitive"
For the way Nico G loved this club and respected it, I wish him nothing but the best at Newcastle and I want his career to take off there. You have a fan in me for life, Nico. I’ll be supporting you and the Magpies too.
Can’t play in the 6, Anderson in the 8, Cherki is far superior in the 10. What does he actually bring to the team?
Even if Anderson was pushed into the 6 to make room, I think there is far more adept 8’s on the market that aren’t horrible cunts that cost the GDP of a nation.
really upset they’ve let Gonzalez go, class player who stepped up when needed.
Was surely viewed as a long term heir to Rodri and looked good especially with the limited minutes he was given. Nice guy who clearly wanted to stay and has been forced out for seemingly no reason.
If he’s been sold to make up funds for enzo fernandez here’s my take:
horrible gobshite with a massive ego, not even fans of his own club like him, controversial, racist, short tempered, doesn’t fit tactically and will cost a ridiculous amount.
Monumentally stupid transfer.
This is quite sad. I’ve not fully understood the desire to force him out.
Nico G’s not perfect and needs to improve certain areas of his game but I felt he played well for us in the vast majority of his games 🤷♂️
@weaklinksport forcing one of the most technical and creative players in the world out wide (or on the bench) to force a triple price Reijnders into the 11.
will do some serious damage to the club.
@DanisMCFC Horrid take. You don’t force players into the lineup based on their pricetag, you start them based on ability and cohesiveness.
Cherki is miles clear of Fernandez in the 10 and this just proves why we don’t need him, he doesn’t fit into the team.
