I brought up Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring and he told me about how he learned how rodent poison can kill owls and how lead bullet can too!

Week 6 in STREAMin3 has us exploring shadows! What a perfect fall day to go out and observe our shadows. We measured during small group (blue line) and made predictions if our shadows would get bigger or smaller then remeasured at recess (yellow line.)

Early start had a busy week of learning how to sort items and patterning! We looked for hidden gems in playdoh, sorted them by color or shapes. The next day we redound the gems and sorted again to pattern!! Today we finished off our week sorting/ patterning with fruit loops!

Getting ready for the last week of school… all the books we read and we are missing some! Looks like I will need to add an extra panel for next year! 88 books on the board, books were read sometimes multiple times and at different times in the year.

We’ve been watching our caterpillars since 4/8 growing and today I noticed they were all starting to hang out and making a J on the top of the lid. We talked about how the caterpillars might become chrysalis today. We went out for recess and came back to this!
