@chasinglamely@Pat_Kc@thatclarafied Aria is right. The ratings in the first season were so dismal that it caused Marcel the Monkey to quit the show and give up show business. Joke is on him, he could have Schwimmer money 💰.
Television is a writer’s medium. Has been from the beginning. This isn’t just unfair it’s actually bad for business. Making writers into itinerant freelancers will be bad for shows and networks and studios and audiences and television.
@adrianmckinty In the extended cut they have scenes of Ripley learning her biological daughter died of old age while she was gone in space to reinforce why Ripley connects with Newt so quickly, but wisely cut it out, which is another reason Aliens is a masterclass in filmmaking.
@NateGolon@jason_blum@blumhouse @TheRealElemgy And the fact he followed up with Invisible Man is even more impressive. Whannell should be mentioned more with the likes of Jordan Peele as the best writer director genre filmmakers working today.
@ShowbizSimon @ClintOCoast It's Top Gun: Maverick meets Creed it can't miss. Maybe open the movie with Coughlins son in a juvenile lock up when Kelly Lynch shows up and adopts him.
Long time ago, a manager told me they “couldn’t do anything” with my fav pilot. A fellowship told me that same pilot “wasn’t (x fellowship) material.” That pilot? Got me repped, got me staffed on True Lies, and opened a ton of other development doors. No one knows anything!
