@1ndependentV0te@FoxNews Yes Berge and Cooke better than Van Orden. Berge because (my opinion) she is actually a good candidate with good ideas and Cooke because she might provide slight harm reduction.. And I have never done this before- have been "blue no matter who" but will not vote for Cooke.
@1ndependentV0te@FoxNews Not penetration -0 ppl switching from Cooke or Berge to Van Orden. But Berge will get a LOT of primary votes here, and many people will then sit out the general who couldn't support Cooke. Likely will vote but leave congressional line blank or write in. Cooke is toxic in cities.
@1ndependentV0te@FoxNews I live here too, there's 0 enthusiasm for her among left-of center/progressives in La Crosse (and Eau Claire it seems from folks there). That matters. Cooke's "I'll stand up 2 Democrats to cut wasteful spending and secure our border" and "grew up on farm" schtick is off-putting.
@1ndependentV0te@FoxNews Cooke is hemorrhaging support from Eau Claire and La Crosse, the district's two Democratic strongholds as she gains slightly in the red counties. She will lose by the same 2-3% as last time.
@1ndependentV0te@Acyn Cooke is bleeding progressives and the rest of the left flank of the democratic party, who will either write in somebody else or leave the congressional ballot blank. Van Orden will win by the same 2-3% as last time because Cooke is a shitty astroturf candidate.

@Trap_12G He's old, and aging. Being president speeds this up. Same thing happened to Biden- he didn't take office in the same wrecked state as he left.
