@davehill77@mindyisser This. Feels like Big Bird used to have more little kid energy but that’s mostly been redirected to Elmo. They identify with the red guy.
I’m never not amazed that David Lynch accidentally spotted his set designer during filming and said “you’re going to be the embodiment of absolute evil” and the set designer said “Ok” and immediately became the most terrifying character in the history of television
astonishing how whenever you go to the post office the queue in front of you is made up almost entirely of people who appear to have ended up at the post office by accident, have in fact never visited a post office before, and have no idea what they want out of the experience
A point that a lot of non-trans politicos miss is that the point of bathroom bills isn't really enforcement. It's to chill public expression and make you second-guess being out in public in the first place.
Mass transit is a lifeline for Pennsylvanians, but Senate Republicans still refused a deal to fund SEPTA.
Now, the Governor may be able to "flex" federal funds to help plug the gap in SEPTA’s budget. I believe we should use any power we have to avoid fare hikes and service cuts.
It’s time for the media to start reporting what this actually is: corruption. An aerospace and defense contractor with billions of dollars in federal government commitments engaging in blatant influence peddling.
30% fare increases
Service cuts by 20% across the board
Dozens of routes eliminated
"Unusable service" on weekends
We are imminently facing an irreversible public transportation "death spiral" because Harrisburg Republicans did not fund SEPTA.
This new reality is nothing short of catastrophic for West and Southwest Philadelphians, who disproportionatley rely on public transportation to get around.
The time for political games is over. A bill fully funding SEPTA already passed the State House with bipartisan support. I call on Pennsylvania Senate Republicans to stop stonewalling and immediately send House Bill 2625 to Governor Shapiro's desk. If all else fails, I urge Governor Shapiro to do everything he can to stop the bleeding.
Important thread from Dave.
Confirming the Trump campaign’s gamble—that they could turn out masses of low-propensity voters, even without a traditional ground game—paid off in ways that surpassed every expectation and ought to now transform our view of the Republican coalition.
As Donald Trump readies to return to the Oval Office, U.S. retailers that depend on foreign suppliers are prepared to pass along the cost of his proposed import tariffs to consumers, potentially leading to higher prices for a range of products. https://t.co/dyB72RLgEm
