#PostOfficeScandal Private Eye has followed the #Horizon#Fujitsu Post Office scandal for years. This is their detailed report if you can stomach reliving it again.

Interesting article @Robert_Booth.
Why no mention of the impact of #AirBnB on #rental availability? Arguably a clampdown would free up swathes of accommodation - and fairer than introducing private #righttobuy

@melissablake I like your smile and I like your face. Strong, kind people like you make Twitter more bearable, and make the world a better place by speaking up with intelligence, humour and grace. ❤
@RevRichardColes I bought mine from two muslim ladies in a local Tesco (I'm highlighting this because I think it's important to recognise how many soldiers of different faiths have fought and died alongside British troops).
@Bolton_Leaguer @kaseklaused @Blades60Martyn@mattbryan68@Peston Irrelevant. The point is, they could. The legislation exists, so your complaint about the EU is meaningless. However, I uphold your criticism of our successive governments.
@Bolton_Leaguer @kaseklaused @Blades60Martyn@mattbryan68@Peston We always had control. It's just that successive governments found it beneficial to blame the EU rather than taking responsibility for their deliberate choices.
@TheAtlantic @gdbysky My piano (C. Bechstein model 9 c.1910) arrived 3wks ago. I love its ambience and immediacy. Transported it down a dirt track from a house near Bronte's Wuthering Heights; it's in need of love. I could spend the cash on shiny kitchen stuff and Netflix but this is joy in rosewood.
@123db_GEEK@OG_Peterowsky@DPJHodges My father leapt from job to job as the textile industry in the north collapsed. My 17yr old friend gave up all her shop assistant wages to support her family because her Dad was a striking miner. Don't talk to me about Thatcher solving unemployment. She made it worse.
@123db_GEEK@OG_Peterowsky@DPJHodges Remember why we had such high unemployment in 'communities where almost nobody worked'? Thatcher's government oversaw the collapse of mining and manufacturing throughout our industrial towns and cities, creating broken communities and broken people. I lived through it.
#dispatches is heartbreaking. Poverty and debt are exhausting, crushing. While we are in a place of crisis, it's so much harder to find a way out. Thank you @Channel4
@Billsyk25484282@J186Jaw@MainStandULTRAS@mickybaines@petercrouch Sometimes you can't sacrifice anything else. Poverty is soul-crushing, now moreso than ever when people like you pass judgement on those who are poor simply because you think they 'don't work hard enough' or don't 'sacrifice' enough. Tell you what, Bill: it's rarely *that* simple
