Ireland is not a democratic nation.

The Irish government cancelled the plans for a directly elected Mayor of Dublin because they cannot control who gets elected.

Anytime there is a threat to the political status quo in Ireland, Fine Gael & Fianna Fáil block it.

You don't have to like McGregor or not to see that this is undemocratic. The Irish people should be allowed to vote and have their say.
