Cut US “aid” to Israel by 70% and we would be much closer to a balanced budget & money to assist our own citizens. Considering the expected job losses due to AI in the near future, money is needed in US.
BREAKING
U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie:
“Just withhold foreign aid to Israel for a month and they’ll stop bombing their neighbors — instant peace.”
“Israel has been, and continues to be, the biggest welfare recipient from American tax payers.”
BREAKING: Donald Trump just launched yet ANOTHER vile attack on Pope Leo. And it’s somehow even pettier and more absurd than last time little Donny went after the holy man...
Trump is back on Truth Social lashing out at Pope Leo XIV — the spiritual leader of 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide — because the Pope dared to... host a prayer meeting with the mayor of Chicago?!
Because apparently crashing the economy, exploding the deficit AND gas prices, attacking judges, setting up a wrestling match on the White House lawn, and dragging America into endless war and political chaos just isn't enough drama for one man.
In a Saturday afternoon “Truth Social” post that looked like it was written by an angry Facebook uncle at 2 a.m., Trump lashed out after Pope Leo XIV met with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and participated in a multi-faith prayer gathering at the Vatican.
While sharing images of that meeting, Trump posted: "Someone should explain to the Pope that the Mayor of Chicago is useless, and that Iran cannot have a Nuclear Weapon!"
Think about how absurd this is.
Most presidents would treat the Pope with a basic level of respect, even when they disagree.
Trump's response?
He has repeatedly called Pope Leo "weak," attacked him on social media, accused him of being responsible for America's problems, claimed he wouldn't even be Pope if Trump weren't president, and even posted bizarre AI-generated religious imagery portraying himself in Christ-like fashion.
Now, apparently the President of the United States is jealous because the Pope met with the mayor of Chicago at the Vatican, where they discussed their shared opposition to Trump's warmongering.
The Pope's offense appears to be reminding the world that peace matters, that war has consequences, and that political leaders are not all-powerful.
In other words, exactly the kind of message that gets under Donald Trump's skin.
What's especially telling is that Trump seems incapable of handling criticism from anyone who possesses moral authority that he cannot control.
Military leaders? He attacks them.
Judges? He attacks them.
Journalists? He attacks them.
Universities? He attacks them.
And now, once again, the Pope joins the ever-growing list of people Trump can't bully into silence.
Imagine being the President of the United States and spending your weekend feuding with the Pope.
At this point, Trump isn't fighting the Pope because the Pope is wrong. He's fighting the Pope because the Pope represents something Trump has never understood:
Humility.
Maybe next Trump will explain Christianity to Jesus! There is no bottom to his shamelessness, after all...

What a great run for our Western Conference champs, but it’s not over yet!
I’m getting my gear ready to watch next week as the Golden Knights bring the Stanley Cup back to Las Vegas where it belongs.
May 16, 1963. Gordon Cooper was orbiting Earth alone inside a capsule barely big enough to turn around in, moving at 17,500 miles per hour.
He had been up there for over a day.
Then the warnings started.
First a faulty sensor screaming that the ship was falling — it wasn't. He switched it off. Then something far worse: a short circuit knocked out the entire automated guidance system. The one that kept the capsule steady. The one that was supposed to bring him home.
Without it, reentry was nearly impossible.
Too shallow an angle and the capsule would bounce off the atmosphere back into space. Too steep and it would incinerate. The margin for error was razor thin — and every computer that was supposed to hit that margin was dead.
Down on the ground, NASA engineers watched the telemetry in silence. They could see everything going wrong. They could fix nothing.
Cooper didn't panic.
He uncapped a grease pencil and drew lines directly on the inside of his window to track the horizon. He looked up at the stars he had spent months memorizing and used their positions to orient the ship by eye. Then he set his wristwatch.
Because when you have no computers left, you become the computer.
At exactly the right moment — calculated in his head, confirmed by the stars outside — he fired the retrorockets. The capsule shook. The sky turned to fire. For several minutes, no one on Earth could reach him as plasma swallowed the ship whole.
Then the parachutes opened.
Faith 7 hit the water just four miles from the recovery ship — the single most accurate splashdown in the entire Mercury program.
The man with a wristwatch and a few pencil marks on a window had outperformed every automated system NASA had.
We talk a lot about technology saving us. And it often does.
But Cooper's story is a quiet reminder that behind every machine, there still has to be a human being who can look out the window, think clearly under pressure, and decide what to do next.
The final backup was never the software.
It was him.
Religious Liberty Commission member @CarriePrejean1 was reportedly removed for making statements that mirror remarks from the Pope.
Removing members for religious viewpoints undermines the very purpose of the Commission.
I’m asking two Congressional committees to review.
@PepinPeppie@FraidNotz@ChristopherHale@Mtn_Gma Why have you chosen to be so hostile? I expressed that I have had a different experience than you. NEITHER experience can be claimed as absolute, representative or universal. I also did not miss your blatant attempt to degrade with your “standard cult response…”
BREAKING: Afghanistan War veteran Pete Buttigieg brilliantly shreds Trump over his deadly "war of choice" against Iran in an absolutely brutal takedown.
President Bone Spurs never stood a chance....
“This nation learned the hard way that an unnecessary war, with no plan for what comes next, can lead to years of chaos and put America in still great danger,” the former Transportation Secretary wrote on social media.
Buttigieg's attack on Trump's already-disastrous conflict was multi-pronged, and he also discussed it on the "MeidasTouch" podcast—
"When you get ready to deploy, you of course are constantly thinking about the worst case scenario, and the scenario that you pray hard is never going to happen is that your loved ones get the knock on the door,” he said.
“That has now happened to six families that we know of. And the people who serve they’re patriots, they’re ready to go wherever their chain of command tells them they are needed,” he continued. “In exchange for them making that promise, putting their lives on the line, they are supposed to be assured that their commander in chief would never put their lives on the line unless it was absolutely necessary. Unless there was no alternative.”
Their commander in chief in this case couldn't care less about their lives. He has no clear strategy because he has no clear objectives and is simply thrashing about wildly, inflicting massive suffering in the process.
Already, six American service members have died in a war that Trump launched to further Israel's geopolitical interests, and he has admitted that there will likely be more casualties. Meanwhile, oil has skyrocketed over $100 a barrel and the entire world economy is now hurtling towards a historic collapse.
We are burning through billions of tax dollars to murder innocent men, women, and children in Iran while back home Americans are scraping by and still don't have a functioning healthcare system.
“Billions of taxpayer dollars are now flowing to the Middle East instead of going toward pressing needs at home,” Buttigieg wrote on Substack. “Prices will rise. The debt will grow. The economy will become even less stable, and Washington will be even less capable of facing urgent needs at home.”
Enough is enough. Listen to those who have actually served. End the war!
