RITORNO AD AMARE 💛 OUT NOW
(Biagio Antonacci - 2001)

A song by Biagio Antonacci that I have loved deeply and that, since 2001, has been much more than just a song for me: a companion, a guide. It marked a turning point in my life. An urgent need to start again from myself, to learn how to love myself again. I am a much more fragile and insecure person than one might think. I always—and only—find my strength in music, and this song speaks of the love we should all give to ourselves.
As you know, my musical and emotional bond with Biagio dates back to the ’90s, and I decided to sing him again with the same respect and the same love I’ve felt throughout all these years. The first time I sang it was during the 2019 Stadium Tour that I did together with him. On that occasion, it had an arrangement different from the original—an atmosphere that entered my heart and that I wanted to bring back in the studio version that comes out today, six years after the live version.
In these past months, after the early musical previews and the announcement of Io canto 2, I read your comments and your requests. Singing this song was already part of my plans, but feeling your affection for this track—still so strong after six years—was a precious confirmation for me. I told myself: “Ritorno ad Amare must be part of Io canto 2, and it has to be the first single of this new journey.”
Here it is, all for you, once again. Ritorno ad Amare.
