Taylor Skibinski and Lia Thomas will return to the IHSAA State Finals next weekend after shooting 78 and 81, respectively, at Saturday’s Lafayette Regional at Battle Ground. City finished 8th as a team. This is Lia’s third consecutive trip to Prairie View and Taylor’s second.

The Wolves advance to their fourth straight regional with a second place finish at Friday’s LaPorte Sectional at Beechwood. City shoots a 375, led by individual runner up Lia Thomas who fired a 2-over-par 76, one shot behind Culver Academy’s Reese Wilson.

Congrats to senior Lia Thomas, who defended her DAC Tournament Individual title on Monday at Sand Creek Country Club, carding a 76. It is her 4th individual tournament title of the season. The Wolves posted a 386 and finished 3rd behind team champion Crown Point and Lake Central.

Lia Thomas shot a final round 78, finishing with a two-day total of 164, good for a tie for 28th in the 100-golfer field at the IHSAA State Finals in Carmel on Saturday. Teammate Taylor Skibinski also improved in the final round, shooting an 84 and finishing tied for 52nd.
