Here's how I do tests in math class: For the first 5 minutes of the session, students put their writing utensils on the ground, I hand out the tests, and students can chat with each other about the test. So many students have mentioned how much this lowers their test anxiety.

Last year a kindergarten student repeatedly insisted to me that I wasn't a "real" teacher.

Now he's in first grade. I asked him if he still thought that.

"I know you're a real teacher now," he said. "Now that I have seen all of your techniques."

You can't define Tier II or III when Tier I isn't clearly defined & implemented first.

If you find more & more kids needing Tier II & III supports, take a long hard look at Tier I.

@bryanallain Buy a $40 Walmart setup, watch a couple YouTube videos. go down to any water (doesn’t need to be a river, but they are more fun) then just try to cast, then keep trying, repeat ad naseum for the rest of your life. Golf.
