Canadian tech millionaire Marcel LeBrun has built a community of 99 tiny homes in Fredericton, New Brunswick, to help reduce homelessness in his local area.

LeBrun, the former CEO and co-founder of Radian6 (which was sold to Salesforce), has personally invested around $4 million into the project called 12 Neighbours. The small, well-designed homes include kitchens, bathrooms, and solar panels, and residents pay rent equal to about 30% of their income.

Beyond simply providing housing, the initiative also offers job training and community support to help people get back on their feet. dozens of the homes have already been completed and occupied.
