I don’t need an email telling me to layer up, @RepVanTaylor, you dumb ass, I want the city and state governments to do your jobs and protect us. We’re fucking FREEZING!!!!
@RepVanTaylor Just got your email about the #texaspoweroutage - so, quick question: are you the one who’s gonna pay for all the lumber we’re buying just so we have a modicum of heat in our home? Is your office gonna get me food because all the grocery stores are picked clean?
Then shut up, because the way I see it? It’s the State of Texas’ fault not preparing when you knew this was coming and power companies like @oncor and @ERCOT_ISO for being cheap, not upgrading or weather treating their equipment, and leaving the people who elected you out to dry.
@statesman@austinenergy For nontexans reading and don’t know the situation: Don’t believe the energy companies are saying about “rolling blackouts”. I know of dozens who’ve been without power for upwards of twenty hours. We’ve been without power for 15 hours now. These aren’t rolling.
@baratnod@oncor For real, you get wind of a class action lawsuit against these fucks, message me or tweet me. I know dozens who’d like to see @oncor and @ERCOT_ISO served for not preparing or warning the public. It’s not hard to do a press release a week beforehand.
@The_Pale_H0rse I’m not a resident of Penn., however, I’ll gladly donate whatever I can. Is there a deadline for donations? What do you need in terms of support outside of finance? Happy to help however I can! Solidarity!
Do you think it was the Karens from the Pink Hat Protest? Do you think Democrats were staring Nazis down? Do you think it was the black misleadership class staring down the nazis.
No. It was regular black folks and a bunch of wild ass white boys and chicks cracking nazis skulls
And to all my #film pals, those that work in #film, #television, #radio in general, who think unions harm workers and there's no reason to join one: Unions, like @IATSE, are SO pro-worker, they're working to get YOU paid despite you being actively anti-union. Think about that.
So, in case you're wondering who to thank for the PUA covering unemployed creatives, you can thank @IATSE for their massive letter campaign and lobbying.
