@BCSully2 We have a higher payroll than Wake Forest who is second in the ACC at 5-1 (lost to Miami). Obviously more money would be great but it’s been increasingly obvious that Bill isn’t the answer.

According to BC themselves, we spend about $17m on our football roster. The fact that people keep pretending that it's impossible to compete with that is crazy. Obviously it's harder but it's far from impossible, especially in a conference like the ACC

Wow we have so much money! Surely the school that literally invented the Flutie Effect will recognize that reinvesting this money in athletics will be fruitful to the entire university in the long run.
Boston College grew its endowment by nearly $880 million, and its assets totaled $8.5 billion in fiscal year 2026, despite what the University characterized as “intense scrutiny on higher education institutions,” according to its most recent financial release.
“Strong undergraduate demand and rebounding graduate enrollment coupled with consistent auxiliary revenues, specifically dining and residential life, led to another successful year for the University,” the summary reads. “This was further enhanced by strong endowment returns that contributed positively to the current year.”
The University’s endowment now sits at about $5.19 billion—an approximately 20.4 percent increase since the prior fiscal year, according to financial statements released by BC.
