@crushmetric What would be the best material to use to replace the metallic crinkling foil of the pen. I've let my young daughter and nieces use mine a bit, and it's seen better days. Still satisfying, still my favorite pen.
@UPS Is anything actually done when a complaint is made about your drivers lying? My tracking says that they couldn't "deliver to the business" yesterday. My wife, daughter, and I were all at the address. Also, we're on a completely residential road. No UPS truck even passed by.
My 33-page list of pharmacies that @BCBST won't hassle me about using instead of Express Scripts includes my current pharmacy. Also, other than acknowledging that they received my email with account-specific information, no one has responded.
A very helpful @BCBST phone agent has emailed me a list of alternate pharmacies in Knoxville that are eligible to fill prescriptions for my meds that are currently managed by @ExpressScripts.
A year ago today, the judge approved the adoption. Kai became our daughter, Jess became her mommy, and I became her daddy. Happy βGotchaβ Day, my sweetheart.
For the last 8 years, he has accepted and loved me as his son, something I have craved my entire life. He will be dearly missed.
Please continue to keep my family in your prayers. We will be telling Kai (as well as my nephew and the younger of my nieces) after the holidays.
My father-in-law, Doug, passed away this evening. His pain and struggles are over, but those he's left behind are heartbroken. He was a good man, a lifelong learner, and a devoted, faithful husband and father.
@OweeeeenDennis Over the last couple of days, I've watched through all three books of #InfinityTrain. Thank you (and all others involved) for working so hard on it; it shows.
2020 has been crazy so far for a lot of people for a lot of reasons. It would be easy to blame my lack of communication and reaching out on COVID-19, the adoption process, or my health issues that have resurfaced. But the real reason is fear.
I think having specific examples to reference will help to remind me that I wasn't always a burden and won't always be one.
(Also, this is all because of my own insecurities, not because of anything anyone has said or done that would begin to imply that's how they think of me.)
If you can think of one, please message me with an example of a positive impact, no matter how small, I have made on you or your life. I don't care what it is: all that matters is that it meant something to you.
