Ground is officially broken on the Hyundai Training Center in Donaldsonville.

With @Hyundai’s new steel plant, they were in search of a workforce ready to compete on the global stage.

This training center will build careers that support real wages through real paychecks.

And thanks to River Parishes Community College, those jobs will go to Louisiana students who train right here in Ascension Parish.

It’s another great day in Louisiana!

Today, #MyBRCC, @LAGovJeffLandry Office on Women’s Policy, and the Iris Domestic Violence Center held a press conference at BRCC’s Ardendale campus to announce the Safe Wheels Alliance partnership that will assist survivors of domestic violence in maintaining reliable transportation.

The pilot program utilizes BRCC students and instructors to repair and maintain vehicles, providing survivors of domestic violence with dependable transportation while giving BRCC students hands-on automotive training that prepares them for their future careers.
