I take no pleasure in being right. Pray for Tua. We saw this coming. Get angry. Get involved with @ConcussionLF to make sure the @NFL can't do this again.
Kelsey Plum opened up and shared her story- a story most know very little about. With the intention of helping others struggling with mental health, thank you @Kelseyplum10 for sharing it & allowing me to write it.

How great is this? The Oklahoma softball team celebrated their National Championship win singing “Nobody but Jesus” by @castingcrowns on the field after the game.
Track was Tara Davis's entire life.
When she couldn't compete, she thought she didn't have a reason to exist.

The athletic community has lost multiple student-athletes who have died by suicide. We share broken hearts. We struggle to find the words - the right words, the meaningful words, and the game-changing words. Remember to take care of you amongst your advocacy for the cause.
repeat after me:
I am not my sport.
my sport is what I love doing, but my sport does not define me.
I am not lost if I can't play anymore.
I am more than my sport.
I am more than my athletic career.
I asked Brad Davison (@braddavi34) how he wants people to remember him and his career after his final game with the #Badgers.
His answer was everything you could of thought after he spent 5 years of giving it his all to the Wisconsin Mens Basketball program & the state.
Your athletic performance does not equal your self worth.
Let me repeat that 🔁
Your athletic performance, DOES NOT equal your self worth. You are more than your sport, you are more than your position. You are valued. You are important. And you are loved no matter what.
Cannot begin to describe the amount of therapy I’m having to do to unlearn the pressure I put on myself as a result of being an elite athlete and student. It truly can warp your thinking in all other areas of your life. Remember that as you’re consuming sport for entertainment.
The pressure put on student-athletes to be perfect in every aspect of their lives is VERY real and, too often, fatal.
When are we going to make a change?!
How many tragedies will we continue to see in headlines before we realize the SA environment is just too intense??
#GNACTF | Colton Burr of @NNUSports wins the weight throw at the GNAC Indoor Championships! Despite already holding the lead, he set his best mark on his final throw at 17.53/57’6”. Second and fourth place for @WOUWolves.
