@JamrockHobo Thank you. People glazed every facet of BG3 but the writing of the companion characters and the worldbuilding of the setting are mid as hell. 5e also doesn’t mesh super well with Larian’s maximalist encounter design. It’s mainly elevated by its AAA graphics and production value.
@ettingermentum At least wait until you’ve actually done something communist or anarchist in the real world to call yourself a communist or anarchist, IMO.
And I say that as someone not opposed to either ideology.
@aurorachaang You say you're "interested in Taiwan's solidarity with Palestine" to distract from your consistent support of Western interests in Ukraine, Tibet, etc. but Taiwan under the "progressive" DPP sees itself in Israel- a plucky smol bean democracy threatened by an authoritarian horde.
@JeanGreige The main contradiction is that he makes money from creating online content targeted at an American/English-speaking audience, but he's open about having zero belief in the ongoing US left project(s), which he views as performative/parasocial. So there's an aspect of bad faith.
@JeanGreige Antagonistic, third-worldist, too-online edgelord/provocateur, socially progressive but zero regard for US sensibilities re: political correctness, who lambasts the compatible US left for hypocrisy, virtue-signaling and focusing on identitarian culture/media critique.
@Is_Not_Brian The announcers are such dog shit. Biased the whole way in favor of England, Argentina, and obviously the US. Take a shot every time they praise Lionel Messi for walking around instead of running.
@biggestjoel@kenklippenstein I mean, he is a journalist who's trying to get people in defense and intelligence to leak information to him, but yeah, the tone here is pretty off-color to say the least.
@transjewtalian It’s pretty simple. If someone was willing to put their life and body on the line for US imperialism, they need to also be willing to put their life and body on the line against US imperialism to show that they deserve your trust. Anything less demonstrates less commitment.
