@BBCAfrica Where has investigative journalism gone? This is not winning, it's rigging and he was coronated by the rigging maching he put in place called the constitutional council. The people are willing to sacrifice their lifes to protect their votes
@TiborPNagyJr Thank you sir for your constant support. In times like these, we need neutral voices/ authorities to speak up. U've consistently shown your support and truly want us to succeed.I hope Ambazonia leaders truly get unity in purpose. We will remember you someday in a free Ambazonia
#Ambazonia - praying 2023 will show dramatic progress: alleviating suffering of Southern Cameroonians; unity (at least of purpose) among Ambazonian leaders; and recognition by #Cameroon Govt that their policies will never defeat Ambazonians' spirit.
On October 1, 1961, the former British territory, Southern Cameroons got independence and reunited with East Cameroon, French Cameroon. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, President Paul Biya reminded the people of the significance of Buea.
The foundations for this reunification were never quite settled, an are the source of what we know today as the anglophone crisis. In 1972, the federation was dissolved into a unitary state called the United Republic of Cameroon, keeping the 1961 borders which still exist today.
Then in 1984, President Biya, by decree, erased traces of the union and renamed the country La République du Cameroun, which was the name of one of the states that came into the federation in 1961.
It was that same year 1984 that Fon Gorgi Dinka, a lawyer, announced the independence of former Southern Cameroons and gave it the name Ambazonia, from Ambas Bay.
