Here's the formula for success as a copywriter.
Transform your mindset into a brick wall that nothing can distract you from your goals.
Stick to 1 NICHE & KEEP PRACTICING
Get feedback on your copy and rewrite it.
Sell that copy to as many people in your niche.
Repeat Daily.
Learning to write is a cheat code.
Writing = Marketing.
Writing = Speaking.
Writing = Thinking.
Writing = Content.
Writing = Emails.
Writing trains your mind like weights train your muscles.
The second I changed my mindset from lack to abundant…
My whole life changed.
My business flourished.
My relationships became healthier.
I became healthier.
Simply doing what you said you’d do puts you ahead of 95% of your competition
- Not being smarter
- Not working harder
- Just delivering on basic promises
The bar is literally on the dirt with the worms.
Step over it and win!

3 Simple Steps to Land Your First Copywriting Client in the next 30 Days…
…Without ANY cold DMs/emails:
1. Not Writing Daily? Quit Now.
If you want to write for fun, be my guest.
But...
If you want to get paid
You need to be good.
Most people just don’t get this…
They think they can skip this step.
And skip straight to earning $10,000 per month.
This is the most important part.
If you aren’t writing for a minimum of 30 minutes daily, you’re toast.
The guy who writes for 60 minutes daily is going to outpace you and land that client instead of you.
You can’t avoid this step.
Sure, you might be able to convince someone to hand you their money with the right strategy....
But, if your writing sucks,
• They won’t be buying from you again.
• They won’t be giving you a testimonial or referral.
• Even worse, they’ll probably tell others to avoid you.
Write a minimum of 30 minutes daily.
Do 60 minutes if you’re really committed.
And 90 minutes if you want to land a client in 30 days.
Then…
2. You Need to Pick the Right Kind of Writing
Writing fairy tales and poetry is a beautiful way to express yourself.
But, it’s not a very lucrative path.
Maybe if you become a book author or novelist.
But, that’s 100x harder than making money with copywriting.
If you want to get paid to write, then you need to pick the right kind of writing.
If you want to get paid to write, then you need to STOP focusing on writing better.
Instead…
Focus on growing other people’s businesses.
Why have I made six figures per year as a copywriter for the past 5 years?
Because I write stuff that grows businesses.
1. I write SEO blog posts for martech businesses.
These blog posts aren’t just beautiful words pieced together like a symphony.
Well… maybe some are.
But, the reason businesses pay money for blog posts is because they:
• Generate more traffic (SEO)
• Generate more leads
• Educate the audience
• Build branding/authority
• Nurture the audience
• And can generate conversions
2. I’ve write emails for ecommerce businesses.
Why can emails be a money-maker for you?
Because they:
• Nurture an audience
• Build a relationship with them
• Educate and entertain them
• Generate sales
You don’t have to write blogs or emails.
Just think, “How can I grow someone’s business with writing?”
There are tons of options:
• X
• Ads
• Emails
• Websites
• Blog Posts
• Lead Magnets
• Landing Pages
• YouTube Scripts
Figure out how to grow a client’s business with your writing.
This will help you convince them you’re a smart business investment.
Now it’s time to land clients…
3. Offer Free Value Up Front
“Free devalues your brand.”
“I don’t want to work for free. I want to be a paid writer.”
“But, I’m a premium copywriter. I target high ticket clients.”
This is all stuff I thought when I first started.
Why would I work for free? I’m trying to quit my 9 to 5 here.
Listen.
If Alex Hormozi… the guy who makes $100M+ per year…
(And is probably going to be a billionaire soon…)
If HE’s telling people to do work for free to start.
Guess what?
It’s probably a smart idea to listen to the guy making $100 million per year...
Rather than your uncle who’s never made more than $100,000 per year.
Here’s how you do it:
STOP cold DM’ing people “Hey man, want to 10x your revenue?”
Instead, start giving.
Go find your prospects.
People who you want to work with.
Ideally by now, you’ve got your ONE writing type of choice.
We’ll say you chose landing pages.
And, we’ll say you niched down into fitness.
Stop pitching services if you can’t show any proof.
Nobody wants to waste their money hiring a newbie.
And… nobody wants to waste their time hiring a newbie because it means they’re a guinea pig who has to train that new writer.
Here’s what you’re going to do to win:
If you’re a fitness landing page copywriter, go find a bunch of ideal clients to reach out to.
We’ll use X as an example.
Go follow your prospect. Comment on and like his posts.
DM him and start a conversation.
Then, go click on his website.
Is there room for improvement on his landing page?
Can you make it better?
If you’ve been studying copywriting at all for a few weeks, you should definitely see areas to improve.
Next, take that guy’s landing page and rewrite the entire thing.
Make it brand new. Spend a few hours rewriting it.
• If it’s just in a Google Doc, good.
• If you can add some design to it in Canva, better.
• If you can put the whole thing together in Carrd, best.
Just create the entire thing for him. And send it to him.
Once you’ve got a conversation going, give the thing to him for free.
What next?
The guy doesn’t respond or he doesn’t like it?
•You now have a portfolio piece to show paid clients
(just remove any sensitive information like that guy’s business name)
The guy responds and likes it but isn’t able to hire you for other work?
• You now have a portfolio piece to show paid clients.
• You can ask him for a testimonial.
• You can ask him for referrals.
The guy responds and loves it and has a budget?
• You now have a portfolio piece to show paid clients.
• You can ask him for a testimonial.
• You can ask him for referrals.
Oh… and you just landed a paid client!
This strategy gets you a win no matter what.
And... it's the exact method that's getting 70% of my coaching students paid clients within 30 days (as brand new copywriters).
To recap:
• Write minimum 30-60 minutes per day
• Specialize your writing
• Offer free value upfront (with real samples) to potential clients
Follow these 3 tips and you’ll be able to land a paid client in the next 30 days.

Start from scratch and rebuild who you want to be.
Sometimes newer copywriters ask me how I get paid in full, up front.
I told them, I simply say, “I’m going to send you an invoice and agreement, and then we’ll get started.”
And that’s it.
If they don’t pay, I don’t start.
If they ask if they can pay me after I say, “no.”
And if that’s a deal breaker for them I don’t really give a shit because there’s another 2-3 client leads coming in each and every week.
If you do not set expectations with a client, the client will default to the expectations they brought with them.
It is your job to let them know how the shit goes.
There's no greater skill than sales.
If you learn how to sell:
1. As traditional salesman, face to face
2. Or as a copywriter, with the written word
You'll never worry about money a day in your life.
