Voluminous pitch counts in training DO NOT need to be max effort. Again, training should be intuitive. I wanted to throw 30,000 more pitches than my counterparts. I wanted to PITCH more than my competition. My training was evident when I competed.

If I throw 150+ pitches almost daily. Gameday feels like an off day. Pitching multiple games in a row is easier. Recovery & resilience have been adapted by the organism...

Any coaches or opponents in my life were typically perplexed by that ability. Its not genetic, its design.

I dont care about ‘rules’ or ‘research’ that doesnt account for an individuals preparedness. Humans are capable of more.

The issue here is idiocracy with workload management. If your pitcher throws once a week, only on game day, 100 pitches is non-sensical. Simple.

If I had to start my career over, & still had to listen to all the coaches & research tell me not to throw over an arbitrary amount of a IP or pitch limits again, Id still shrug my shoulders & throw 100’s of pitches daily.
