🚀 Excited to share that ProbINet is now available! It is a Python package for network analysis that allows tasks like community detection, anomaly detection, and network generation. Finally, you can find some of our recent models and methods in a single comprehensive library!
I'm happy to announce the first release of ProbINet 🐍 - a powerful Python package for probabilistic inference on networks! This is a joint work with Jean-Claude Passy, Caterina De Bacco, and @mcontisc.

I'm happy to announce that as of next week I'm taking up a new position as full professor at IT:U (https://t.co/Gkx8jvYnrm)!
IT:U is a brand new public university in Linz, Austria 🇦🇹, that focuses on interdisciplinarity. 1/3
🗣️ I was happy to present our work yesterday @ISBA_events!
📌 I talked about a probabilistic model to estimate an unobserved adjacency matrix from multiply reported data.
🙏 A huge thanks to @SirioLegramanti for organizing a great session on Bayesian Analysis for Network Data.
✨Excited to attend my first @ISBA_events conference, here in Venice!
📌 During the train journey, I also took the chance to redesign my personal website: https://t.co/b74K09r41A
@vvsuschevskiy@MariusHobbhahn@eleanorapower @PhilippHennig5 Our model should work with such data. Nodes should have a categorical attribute specifying the type, i.e., either "human" or "robot", and for the robots the demographic characteristic should be set to zeros.
📢 New preprint out: https://t.co/Y36y99hpOR
📌 We introduce a probabilistic generative model to perform inference in attributed multilayer networks, where both edges and attributes can have arbitrary data types
🙏 @MariusHobbhahn, @eleanorapower, @PhilippHennig5, and C. De Bacco
@HanicsResearch The thesis will be published in the following months. However, it is a cumulative thesis where I discuss all the papers published during my PhD. You can find them on arxiv, on the online websites of the journals, and also have access to the code on my GitHub page.
🎉 Last week, I successfully defended my PhD thesis “Probabilistic generative models for inference on complex systems”! It took me a while to realize that it's over, and I want to thank my advisor Caterina De Bacco for her constant support and for building a fantastic group. 🎓
⏭️ As a next step, I will soon start a postdoc position in Vienna, working with Prof. Tiago P. Peixoto in the Department of Network and Data Science at the Central European University (CEU)!
🙏 I would also like to thank the examiners and reviewers Prof. Philipp Hennig, Prof. Ulrike von Luxburg, Prof. Anna Levina, and Prof. Leto Peel.
🤝 And I am also extremely grateful to all the wonderful people I have had the privilege of working with.
