“There were no words of support for the young woman who once worked for the Liberal Party, in response to such a grave and serious finding” - sadly this not surprising- Dutton lacks empathy and is in no way a leader.
A cautionary important thread on how the culture war mongers do their work.
The last week shows how Peter Dutton plans to win the next election, assisted by media who moonlight as the LNP PR machine, working in unison with a conservative lobby group funded by billionaires.

Michaelia Cash?
Oh yes...famously restrained, circumspect, thoughtful, and measured in all her dealings in or out of the House.
Credibility personified.
Particularly when covering her arse, or that of the Liberal Party.*

I will be voting Yes tomorrow because I stand with the 80% of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people supporting The Voice. The Voice is a practical way to create a better future for all Australians. Leaders are committed to having the voices of First nations communities heard
Here’s an interesting story for your Monday, witches.
A couple of weeks ago, MFW were one of the organisations who published Jacinta Price’s phone number, asking witches to politely get in touch if they wanted to protest her unsolicited texts sent to millions of Australians without their permission.
We only published her number after we carefully researched the issue and discovered that (no matter what Ben Fordham says in the pic below) the number is NOT her “private number”. It’s easily available via Google and as recently as last year was openly published by Price in various forums. We established that it is, in fact, a work phone number and doesn’t even have her own voice on the voicemail it sends to.
Let’s make this very clear: publishing a freely available phone number is NOT doxxing. If it were, all of us would get charged with an offence every time we shared a business’s phone number with a friend. Doxxing is specifically only the act of publishing private information about a person that the person doesn’t freely make known and wouldn’t want generally known.
That’s why we published Price’s number without apology: she published the number herself in many documents and online websites for years, way before anyone else published it.
A couple of days after we re-published her number, one of our MFW Admins started getting phone calls and texts from unknown numbers. There were 20 or so messages and calls in all: not enough to be a huge problem, but enough to wonder why this was happening all of a sudden. We then discovered one of our haters had somehow come across our Admin’s name and number (probably from back in the Alan Jones days when the same Admin was repeatedly doxxed) and had published it.
But here’s the thing: this person published the number as if it were Price’s phone number.
How do we know? Because every text and message our Admin received was from someone upset about receiving a phone call from Price, and wanting to let her know they didn’t appreciate it and could she please leave them alone.
And … here’s the other thing.
Every one of those 20 or so texts and phone messages to our Admin was 100 percent respectful, reasonable and even kind towards Price. All they wanted to do was to let her know they didn’t want unwanted texts from her and in future could she please take them off her lists. A couple even offered to show her information about the #VoiceReferendum they thought she might not know, or wanted a respectful conversation with her about the issues.
Remember: these people first heard from HER in a way they found offensive and intrusive, yet all contacted her in return kindly and carefully. Our Admin found this so funny she was enjoying getting the messages and voicemails because they were so hilariously good-natured and civil. (This Admin has since changed her number again as a precaution, but did so a bit reluctantly as the messages she got were so thoroughly decent.)
So while we can’t dispute Price may have (as #BinBen says below) received “horrific messages”, we can say with confidence that our witchy intuition says such messages are likely to have been few, and are even more unlikely to have been as a result of activists like us posting her number publicly.
Because in all our years of running campaigns we’ve never heard of our political opponents receiving overt abuse from followers of activists like MFW (although they do often frame reasonable discussion as abuse), yet we’ve thousands of written examples of people wanting us and all similar women to be stabbed, hung, raped, shot or otherwise subjected to violence just for our opinions.
We know Fordham does all this for link clicks, but if he really wanted to know about constant abuse and threats he’d talk to people like us, not people like Price.
Because the hatred, fear and deception is mostly coming from you and people like you, Ben. But of course, it doesn’t make for as much punch-down profit, does it?

This is all the referendum is about.
These simple words, which will finally recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Constitution through a Voice.
Independent Kylea Tink says she received comments from others after she spk up yesterday suggesting she should have raised her concerns “quietly” & slams Peter Dutton for telling her that her aggressive treatment by an Opposition MP is “just what happens in parliament.”😡#ABC
So I finally updated Twitter and said goodbye to the sweet little bluebird of distraction. Is anyone else getting the urge to click the black X to close the app? Nope? Just me then? As you were.
