UA graduate Megan Parker, who has overcome many health issues, gets teary after learning she passed the bar exam. Her loved ones cheer for her. https://t.co/28pHVDwk2I
For as long as I can remember, becoming an attorney was my biggest goal in life. Even now, I still can't believe I finally reached that goal this year! None of this would have been possible without my unbelievable support system.
@CourtneysTruth I completely agree! Having the extra time is nice to alleviate the stress (minimally) of handling any potential medical needs / emergencies during the exam. But I would give just about anything to have finished yesterday instead of two days after the rest of my cohort
@ProfLCB My venmo is mcp67 - taking the bar as an accommodated taker, meaning I have the pleasure of dealing with this exam stress alone and in a different city than everyone in my state (plus for 4 days instead of 2) 😭
@BaristerBarista Doing good. Minor but expected complications during the surgery. Fortunately, nothing serious to where I have to stay another night. Going home today 😀
I am excited to share that the article I wrote, titled "New Virtual Platforms Raising Old Questions: Potential Impacts of the Metaverse on Intellectual Property," was published in the June / July 2023 edition of the @ABAesq Landslide magazine!

@BaristerBarista @RileeDHarrison Thank you both so much for the coffee money! I cannot express how grateful I am for the support in this last month before the exam
@CourtneysTruth Literally this is the subject of my law review note because I almost had this happen to me. But now the result is almost just as bad as losing my benefits.

@OrinKerr I know this may be a little bit of self-promotion, but my law review article published this year touches on an important topic: why Medicaid is becoming discriminatory against individuals with disabilities who wish to work. https://t.co/Rjh7lwuSHR
Shout out to @jewelsann & @buchtelite for letting me put my journalism cap one last time to write about my journey as the Lois Lane of @uakron to the Elle Woods of @AkronLaw. While I won't be a student anymore after May 7th, I'll #ForeverBeAZip.
@evolutionofjay 1. I graduated with my BA in communication
2. Started law school less than four months after #1
3. Received a post-graduation / bar exam job offer with my first choice of law firms
@The_LaborLawyer Especially when individuals with disabilities are practically being punished in the US with the threat of losing their federally funded healthcare if they earn income even close to or above the federal poverty line.

Bought my law school graduation tam (cap), tassel, gown, and hood today! Can't believe how close I am to completing this portion of my journey to being an attorney 💼 ⚖️ 🎓 🥂
@AkronLawScholar@AkronLaw Thank you so much! I would not have been able to write this note nor get published without all the guidance and support from the @AkronLaw faculty, staff, and 2021-22 @AkronLawReview members.
