@sarthakgh This is so cool! Go LA! I love that the funds are agency agnostic.
But technically it's not the biggest program of its kind. Since the fall, Philadelphia has been giving free monthly SEPTA passes to 25,000 low income Philly residents. https://t.co/sUrcf2NQuZ
Boston bike Twitter: I’ve never loved a bike like this one, and it went missing from our locked patio last night in the South End. Presumably someone saw me joy riding and returned to hop the fence overnight. It’s a Scott Sub Active e-bike. Reward. @universalhub
@CLTpetpeeves@Derailluer@JHolmesLives There's a curb on either side of the path. Next time you see something in the road: get out of your car, push it forward several feet, and then continue on your way.
What an absolute failure of government that these vehicles continue to operate on public roads. What's the point of a cautionary tale if no one does anything about it?

RIP Buzzfeed News. Also, if you publish stuff online that you're proud of, back it up! Print a PDF and hide it away. Take from me, someone who published 130 articles from 2010-2019, of which <5% are still online because the websites shut down or switched platforms or both.
I've gotten a lot of questions while out on my e-bike, but today, waiting at a red light, a guy on a literal motorcycle was excited about how fast I was able to go (and I left him behind a few blocks later). ⚡️🚲💨
Electric bikes are the future.
🚨URGENT CALL TO ACTION 🚨
You likely have already heard the disappointing news: with no explanation, the DCR has canceled Saturday access to Riverbend Park. Here are three things we need you to ask your membership to do this week:

@DotGrow Similarly the ITE manual deserves flack for being based on very suburban (entirely car-centric) observations, simply because those were easier to measure. It consistently overestimates demand for autos near transit/bike/ped facilities.
@DotGrow Great question! Every state relied on LOS for a loong time. Just recently California switched to VMT (vehicle-miles traveled, or actual induced driving). It was a lot of work to switch but so worth it. https://t.co/fWqaZJtDlv
I admit that I was a free-fare skeptic, but I'm coming around on cases like the @MBTA, where they'd spend as much or more collecting fares. Just take the L with Cubic and move on. https://t.co/UqdWLRgqqk
Or municipalize? Thankfully Boston is in a better position, owning the hardware and only contracting with Lyft for ops. But as Tech contracts, it's time to thank the VCs for subsidizing the experimental phase and treat bikeshare like the public good it is.
