Lot of positives from Saturday’s game against Ipswich. Shame we couldn’t hold onto the win. One observation is that our players have been drilled to pass and keep possession so much they’ve forgotten how to shoot at goal.

Completely agree with this. Charly shows signs of being a good player, but his finishing is poor. Hope I’m proved wrong & Juve will see something in him & stump up the £35m. But even if not we’ll get him back with Serie A experience. #southamptonfc #wemarchon @sp_290906

For what it's worth, I'd snap your hand off for a guaranteed £35million for Charly Alcaraz.

A loan makes me feel a little bit uneasy as I'm not confident they're going to pay that at the end.

Alcaraz hasn't done enough to be starting ahead of Stuart Armstrong but can understand if he's frustrated.

Hasn't quite grasped the system and doesn't look a complete natural in any of the positions.

Thought he would be a big player this season though and he's obviously got immense potential.

But if there is a big loan fee involved and he wants to go, I would sanction it too.

Whether it frees up the club to do anything more or not, I don't know. David Brooks can probably play 10.

Guess we will see what tomorrow brings - but didn't expect anything like that to move so quick!

In @premierinn hotel but after a day’s work no clean towels, no cleaned room, no made bed. I complain but am told I must ask to have my room cleaned. No one told me! I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and never had to do that. I will never stay @premierinn again. Beware.
