In a betrayal of trust that has siphoned billions from taxpayers, New York is accused of forcing NUMC, one of its largest hospitals, to fund its own federal matches: NUMC had to give NY $50 million a year; the state would give it back to the hospital, triggering another $50 million from the federal government. Totally illegal.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, head of the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, has fired off a scathing letter to NY Gov. Kathy Hochul demanding answers to 50 questions about the state's bloated $124 billion Medicaid program.
If it happened at NUMC, how many more in NY, and across the country? The Trump administration wants to know!
More in my story, published today by the courageous folks at Newsmax.

September 11, 2001, marked one of our nation’s darkest days. Few responded as bravely as New York City’s first responders.
That day, the @FDNY lost 343, @PANYNJ lost 37, NYPD lost 23, and many others continue to suffer from illnesses related to 9/11.
We will #NeverForget.
Another day, another D.C.-backed power grab. NUMC’s meltdown isn’t about “hostile takeovers”—it’s about decades of Albany’s fiscal malpractice. Hochul’s crew pushed through Bill Title to seize control, but where’s the $1B in missing Medicaid funds?
Blakeman’s right: NY defunded NUMC into crisis, then blamed locals for the rubble. This lawsuit? Just the tip of the iceberg.
Audit every cent, expose every bureaucrat, and let’s see who really blew the budget on legal fees instead of patient beds.

MASS ARRESTS HAVE BEGUN‼️
One leads to another … to another.
The DOJ has criminally charged 324 defendants, including 96 doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other licensed medical professionals, in 50 federal districts and 12 State Attorneys General's Offices across the United States, for their alleged participation in various health care fraud schemes involving over $14.6B in intended loss.
NUMC belongs to Nassau, not Albany. Decisions about our only safety-net hospital should be made here, not in Albany conference rooms. It’s time to return control to Nassau.
