@imgrund@imgrund as a stats guy can you find out what the number would have been in 2019? I’d love to know what the increase is. That would put the number in perspective.
@imgrund@imgrund to provide context, any idea what the absentee rate would have been in 2019? I’d love to understand a YOY type comparison. Is there a regular increase as we shift from winter to spring? Change of season often brings about some illnesses.
@imgrund@imgrund I’m fairly certain that hospitalizations went down again today. Is there maybe not as close of a co-relation to cases and hospitalizations as there was before? If this strain and future strains aren’t terribly dangerous why can’t we move forward?
@imgrund@imgrund restrictions loosened in Jan, hospitalizations went down. Restrictions further loosened in feb, hospitalizations went down. Isn’t it possible that vax rates and natural immunity allow for us to continue to move forward?
@imgrund@imgrund just a thought. You are correct to assume approx 10k cases. However if hospital capacity is good why can’t we move forward? Isn’t protecting hospital capacity what this is about? Restrictions were loosened, kids went back and hospitalizations went down.
@NRPublicHealth@GrantRants@GrantRants super weird case count numbers. Equally as weird as the lack of cases being moved from active to resolved over the past two weeks. I’m thinking there is some real data issues.
Parents can help keep the school environment safe by having their children wear masks...even if it isn’t mandated. RT with comment or better yet make your own video on what your kids will do to enable safe #SchoolReopening.
@CityNews How about mentioning that there isn’t 15728 active cases? The active cases are just over 5100. There are only 187 people on ventilators in all of Ontario. What we are doing is working. We are keeping the number of people in hospital and on ventilators at a manageable amount.
@jessieraeallen Your thoughts on the @TheSocialCTV were hurtful. I’m a passionate hockey person and the lessons I’ve learned through hockey have helped shape my life. I’d love to chat, maybe help change your mind. Your audience deserves better. @TSN_Sports@BizNasty2point0
When reporter layoffs happen at newspapers, local sports is often the first to go. 2 of my former coworkers, @BillPotrecz & @BerniePSports, went independent with BPSN. "Local sports is news to us" https://t.co/kLj2biGryX
