The square I snap from outside is from Amazon. It’s really a golf mat for hitting. I drag it out of the garage each time and set it up for 14 yds. It’s 4’x6’.

Wrapping up 2025 with 12 quick snaps to my dad. He said the only thing he's good at catching is a cold, but I think he did alright!

Focusing on form with some new techniques I've been working on with @SpecialTeamsU. Happy New Year!

Class of 2026 long snapper @mcsnappin made the trip to Eau Claire WI to chase perfection.

During our evaluation, we noticed that Ryan really only used his arms to snap the ball and needed more speed on the ball. If you’re not moving efficiently, you can throw it as hard as you can, but will reach your ceiling quickly.

We worked on getting Ryan to control his body by hitting absolute positions. Once he had a better understanding of where to end, and what to feel, we were able to add in the efficient movement pattern.

Most snappers either try to “drive their elbows”, or be extremely quick with their movement. There are no other sports where you throw or strike that favor quickness and straight lines. By embracing acceleration and centrifugal force, we were able to give Ryan more flow which turned into more speed!

I’m looking forward to continuing to help Ryan chase perfection!
