found a guy clearing $44k/month with zero original content.

i met him at a car service center.

waiting room. plastic chairs. bad coffee. a tv playing the news nobody was watching.
he was on his laptop.
i assumed he was doing emails.
i glanced over.

he was on twitter.

not scrolling.

reading.

specifically he was reading a reddit thread, copying something into a doc, then switching to another tab and doing something with it.

i watched him do this 4 times in 12 minutes.

i asked what he was building.

he looked up.

closed the laptop halfway.

then opened it again and turned it toward me.

a gumroad dashboard.

$44,200 last month.

i asked him what he sold.

"nothing i made."

here is exactly what he was doing.

he ran 6 faceless pages.

each one in a different niche.

freelancers. landlords. bookkeepers. contractors. career switchers. personal finance.

none of them had his face. none of them had his name. none of them had a single piece of content he had written from scratch.

every post on every page came from one of three sources.

source 1: reddit threads.

he scanned 7 subreddits every week.

when he found a thread with 500+ upvotes and angry comments he opened it.
read every comment.
took the most specific ones.

ran them through claude with one prompt:

"turn this comment into a tweet that describes this exact situation without mentioning a product. practical, specific, no motivation."

30 seconds per tweet.

the original commenter wrote the insight.

claude formatted it for twitter.

he scheduled it.

zero original thought required.

source 2: high-performing posts from other pages in the niche.

not copying.

remixing.

he tracked 10 accounts in each niche.

when a post hit above 500 likes he noted the structure.

the hook format. the problem angle. the specific situation it addressed.

then he prompted claude:

"write a tweet using this structure but for this specific niche and this specific buyer."

same structure. different niche. different product. different audience.

technically original.

practically a remix of what already worked.

every 4.8 star review on his gumroad listings was content.
the buyer described their specific situation in the review.

that situation became a tweet.

"you just got your first late rent notice and you don't know what the legal process looks like. this is exactly what it says and exactly what you do next."

that tweet came from a landlord who bought his toolkit and left a review describing their situation.

the buyer wrote the content.

he just repackaged it.

the products he was selling.

none of them were his ideas either.

every product came from the most common complaint in the relevant subreddit.

he found the complaint. he pasted the thread into claude. claude built a 6,000–7,000 word guide. he read it, edited 10%, formatted it in canva. listed it on gumroad.

6 products. 6 pages. each one solving a problem he had never personally experienced.

the freelance pricing guide: he had never freelanced. the landlord operations toolkit: he had never owned a rental property. the bookkeeper pricing guide: he had never worked in bookkeeping.

he found the pain. AI built the solution. the audience bought it.

i asked him how long it took to build all 6.

he said the first one took a full weekend.

by the sixth one it took an afternoon.

i asked how much time he spent on it now.

he said about 90 minutes a week across all 6 pages.

22 minutes reading VA reports. 30 minutes reviewing flagged content. the rest checking stripe.
i asked how many VAs he had.
two.
$840/month combined.
on $44,200/month in revenue.

1.9% of revenue going to the people running the operation.
the rest arriving without him.
the car service finished before we were done talking.

his name was called.
he closed the laptop.
stood up.

"the content was never the hard part," he said.

i sat in that plastic chair for another 10 minutes thinking about how many people are spending months trying to create original content.
