On 23rd June, an underground cable burst and caught fire near Mosque Garden Street, Saidapet. It was repaired, and power supply was restored.

Today (29th June), power has been out again since 6:00 AM. The FOC informed us that it is another cable burst. Initially, we were told power would be restored by 10:00 AM, then the timing was changed to 12:00 PM. Now, there is no update, and they are not responding to calls.

Today is the beginning of the week, and this prolonged power outage has caused immense stress and inconvenience. Children are unable to prepare for school, parents are struggling to get them ready, and many office-goers are unable to work or leave for work properly due to the lack of electricity.

Frequent power failures have become a regular issue in our area. We request your immediate intervention to restore power and take permanent measures to prevent these recurring cable failures in Mosque Garden street , Saidapet.

Kindly treat this as an urgent complaint and resolve the issue at the earliest.

As someone who supported this government, it is deeply disappointing to receive no response when citizens raise genuine public grievances. People expect action, not silence.

Repeatedly blaming previous governments or speaking about the past will not solve the problems people are facing today. Good governance is measured by timely action, accountability, and effective administration.

Children, senior citizens, patients, and working families continue to suffer because the damaged cable has not been permanently replaced. Temporary repairs are clearly not working.

When we called the officials, we were told: “Nothing can be done now. We’ll come around 10:00 AM to check the cable fault.”

This is unacceptable. For the past 25 days, there have been repeated power failures due to the same underground cable issue. Instead of replacing the damaged cable, only temporary repairs are being carried out, leading to repeated breakdowns.

Residents, including children, senior citizens, patients, and office-goers, are suffering because of this recurring problem.I have been posting and tagging your offices for nearly one month, yet there has been no permanent solution or meaningful response.

Please replace the faulty underground cable instead of repeatedly carrying out temporary repairs. We need a permanent solution for Saidapet, not recurring outages.
