The ACRFG, a critical system for the ISS that was designed and built by MDA Space to last 10 years, spent more than double that amount of time relaying voice communications, command telemetry and tracking data between Earth and the ISS.

Today marks 25 years since the first robotic “handshake in space” – Canadarm2, operated by @NASA astronaut Susan Helms, transferred its launch cradle to Canadarm, controlled by @csa_asc astronaut @Cmdr_Hadfield. 🦾

MDA Space will be supplying more than 1,300 antennas to Airbus as part of the OneWeb low Earth orbit constellation owned by Eutelsat.

This repeat-order follows an earlier contract for the program.
