Few thoughts on Twitter's decision to stop displaying headlines and captions on links:
1. Twitter is a business. The way they make money is by having people on Twitter, not sending people to other sites. I totally get that.
They've been depressing visibility of tweets with links in them for a long while now. I disagree with that but I get it.
2. However, sharing of ideas and other data/articles/news is what makes Twitter so great.
If I just wanted to scroll idiotic videos, I'd go to TikTok. If I just wanted to see brags about vacations and kids, I'd go to FaceBook. If I just wanted to see thirst traps, I'd go to Instagram.
Twitter, to me at least, is more about the best information and/or links to the best information.
3. By not having the headlines on Twitter, it encourages bad actors. Phishing, even more fake news.
4. It's also harder to give people credit. I want to link to good articles, good stories I see. But if I do, no one sees the tweet and now they can't even see the headline.
Obviously not a huge deal. But as someone who has been on Twitter every day since 2009 (pathetic, I know), thought I'd throw my two cents in. CC @elonmusk.
It’s THRIVE’s birthday and we released a remix to Conviction. I also decided to pull out some clips from the vault to show you the evolution of Conviction. Don’t mind my terrible singing and novice keys abilities.

Adding songs by independent artists that you follow to your Spotify/Apple playlists is right up there with buying their merch in terms of support. Also, just go listen to this damn song.
