We're approaching Month 3 of our collections being locked with zero public communication on what they did or the reasons for it. Fanatics and Topps have acted with complete disdain for their customers.
The only reason they resolved the security issue was because we pointed it out to them. In return we get a useless NFT we can't even view properly let alone trade or sell.
When I talk about the control issues with smart contracts, it's not the FUD some seem to paint it as. This is a real life example of how a contract with broad controls that can be changed can go wrong.
Yes, the mutable contract allowed them to stop further exploitation of the security flaw but it also allowed them to take a unilateral action to freeze the entire collection of NFTs without customer consent or communication.
@Topps I wonder if we will be 100 years old by the time @Topps fixes their broken migration to @opensea? Collectors’ @toppsnfts assets are frozen & unable to even view them for months. Your customers deserve better. Please fix this, @Topps@Fanatics@MikeMahan

Yeah @Topps didn't care before @Fanatics and seems even less now. They see customers as lesser thanks to shill to and greed seems to reign supreme. Hoping @MLB and @MLBPA are made aware and turn some screws because it's their IP that suffers.
Please fix your Topps NFT assets (which you broke) and develop an OpenSea landing page as promised. Radio silence is no way to treat customers. The fact that the community has to fight through a minefield to get an answer speaks volumes about you as a company.

@ToppsDigital Hey Topps Digital. This is what Yu Darvish looked like after I told him Topps Collectables are frozen and unviewable. He bought a Freddie Freeman LE a few years back. He was so proud he shared w/ fans on his X feed. Now he is ashamed and lost face because of Topps antics.

@ToppsDigital That's so cool but Aaron Judge wants to know why Topps Digital removed his image from displaying on Open Sea. Aaron is seriously upset as his fans bought cards That Topps sold them, and then Topps froze them (no sales, purchases or trades) and their images r gone.
