SEASON FINALE! This week, we talk frankly about author leverage, when & how to pitch new books on proposal, the impact of past sales--and why Scott is (probably) walking away from trad fantasy as a result.

Watching Carnival Row right now on @PrimeVideo and it's an absolute MASTERPIECE. I can't shout it's praises enough. I'm still in season 1, but I'm already sad that it's cancelled after Season 2...

@jon_cronshaw No preference! Sometimes it's good to watch a myth unfold with the herculean demi-god protagonist. Other times, I'm seeking out the nail-biting anxiety that flawed characters can cause. Lately I've been looking more for the infallible style though.
@jon_cronshaw I had to make sure that the ending I was worried about happening…didn’t. Otherwise I wouldn’t have finished the book.
This has actually happened twice, and one has since become a favorite book, and the other I put down immediately never to return.
@Richard_Kadrey Im not ready to say goodbye to Eric! I haven’t cracked open my copy of cult classic yet…. Took a while to read king bullet for the same reason!
We crossed the 100k download mark tonight 😳
A huge THANK YOU from both of us to all our guests, listeners, and kind supporters--without you all, we'd just be ghosts in an empty room 🙂 It has been a wild ride of a year.
Wow, it's been quite some time since I've been here! I've been going over to the sewing app. How's the #writingcommunity been? Anyone publish a good book lately?? Drop the link below! #writerslift
Hey @DnDBeyond can you make a filter option for searching monsters that allows us to filter by "owned content" instead of having to pick all of the sources we own manually? I'd love you forever! (I already do, but you get the point.)
Today, we sit down with Hugo-winning novelist and essayist, @KameronHurley, to ask hard hitting questions: Why don't we just quit? Why keep doing it? Why not 'just' self publish? And finally, was it all worth it?
