The main tactic is the DARVO techinques:

DARVO is a manipulative psychological strategy frequently observed in abusive relationships, narcissistic dynamics, and situations involving accountability avoidance. The acronym, coined by psychologist Dr. Jennifer Freyd, stands for Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. It is a multi-step tactic designed to evade responsibility, discredit the accuser amd/or target, and reposition the manipulator as the harmed party.

~ Deny The individual outright rejects the allegation or behavior, often with absolute statements such as “That never happened,” “You’re mistaken,” or “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Purpose: Undermine the target’s memory and perception (closely linked to gaslighting techniques).

~ Attack The manipulator shifts focus by launching counter-accusations, criticism, or character assaults against the target. This may include questioning the target’s motives, mental stability, or credibility. Examples: “You’re always overreacting,” “You’re the one who’s abusive,” or personal attacks on the target’s character. Purpose: Intimidate the target into silence and divert attention from the original issue.

~ Reverse Victim and Offender (RVO) The manipulator portrays themselves as the true victim while casting the actual target as the perpetrator. This inversion often involves claims of being misunderstood, persecuted, or emotionally harmed by the target’s confrontation. Purpose: Garner sympathy from third parties and further confuse the target, reinforcing trauma bonding and self-doubt.

Common Techniques Within DARVO:

~Minimization:
Acknowledging a minor version of events while denying severity (“It wasn’t that bad”). (All of the media, FC's, Teams) (The reckless closeout was reviewed to make sure CC didnt commit a flagrant foul)

~ Selective Memory:
Claiming forgetfulness or different recollection of shared events. (Chiney: Oh it was a freeze frame. She embellished it) (She doesnt get called for fouls. If she did she would foul out of every game.)

~ Smear Campaigns:
Recruiting allies by presenting a distorted narrative that paints the target negatively. (Jason Whitlock/ESPN and Syd Colson) (Shes a diva. Shes uncoachable. She is a bad team mate. She flops. She embellishes call. She is always yelling at the ref. She is always whining and crying. The team is better without her. They play better without her.) (Jason is especially guilty of this one as he gathers his allies to daily)

~ Feigned Victimhood: Displaying exaggerated emotional distress or tears to elicit protective responses from observers. (Angel Reese v CC hard take foul)

~ Escalation: Responding to calm confrontation with rage or victimhood to shut down dialogue. (League and FO led

~ False Equivalence: Equating the target’s response to the original harm (“You’re just as bad as I am”).

They are also employing victim blaming, gaslighting, confirmation bias, cognitive dissonance, trauma bonding, and narcissistic abuse cycling.

This is highly coordinated, relentless, and on a continuous cycle. It is intentional and everyone but her and a handful of others are in on it.
