Star Wars (1977) was done to save the original 70mm negatives/prints. They were faded and badly degraded.
At that point, Lucas decided to "correct" scenes he thought were incomplete.
(like the Jabba/Han one)
Also, it put the films under
Lucasfilm, not Fox

It's open year-round, 7 days a week. (except for hurricanes)
They have 2 screens, both showing double features, usually first run movies.
