bus capped at £2 - doesnt matter we drive
£40 off energy bills - not enough
20% off for pubs - could be more
literally anything done you fucking moan about
its the state of the fucking public in this country thats the issue not the prime minister
you basically want to pay for nothing and want everything
get a fucking grip
So, in the end, they fell without a fight.
Not one true effort, not one shot in sight.
Just noise and fury, chest-beating and show,
Yet nowhere left for football’s craft to go.
They chased the referee more than the ball,
Mistook dark arts for greatness after all.
For every tumble, every feigned despair,
The game itself was left a little poorer there.
And when the whistle drew the curtain closed,
There was no glory in the path they chose.
For medals tarnish, scorelines fade away,
But character is measured every day.
So home they go, defeated in the end -
Without the pride that should a champion attend.
For victory borrowed through deception’s guise
Wins trophies, perhaps… but never wins the wise.
Tonight the football world breathes easier still.
Not out of malice, but because, at last,
The spirit of the game outlived the spectacle.
Thank god the 2026 World Cup is over.
What have I learned?
FIFA is bent and corrupt.
White House interference.
Three host nations are two too many.
48 teams is too many.
Hydration breaks make the game into four quarters (too Americanised)
Counting down to kick-off... pathetic.
TV cameras constantly looking at celebrities... who cares!
Half-time ad breaks.…. Money!
Poor referees.
VAR ruining Football.
Commentators are still terrible.
Pundits are as bad as commentators.
Messi is a little shit
Argentina is a horrible country.
That’s my World Cup; if I’ve missed anything, please add!

17 July 1453. French forces under Jean Bureau defeated the English and Gascony, led by Earl of Shrewsbury at the Battle of Castillon. It’s considered the last major battle of the Hundred Years’ War. As a result, the English lost all landholdings in France except Calais.
I've seen a few posts saying that they'd take England winning the World Cup over success for their club.
I just can't get on board with that at all. I'm just much more invested in Wednesday than I am with England - and always will be.
I get that as a nation we haven't won a trophy since '66 but I've never been to an England game. I don't watch Premier League football, Bundesliga or La Liga. I'm not emotionally invested in Rice, Kane, Bellingham etc. I don't see them play week-in week-out. On the flip-side - Wednesday haven't won anything since '91. I wasn't there for that either.
If I was over there in the States and going to the games then maybe I would look at this differently. But I'm not.
Do I want England to win? Absolutely. Who doesn't? But if you have to compare it to your club winning something then I would take that any day of the week.
There are just no words.
An absolute bloody disgrace
£10 billion wasted on PPE that could not be used.
Shameful conduct by the Tories.
Boris Johnson
Matt Hancock
Michelle Mone
Michael Gove
Etc etc etc
Arrest them all.
The face of a man trying to defend the idea that The Establishment somehow doesn’t include a privately educated multi-millionaire who was handed the family property business or the aristocratic family who gave him even more money.
The intro to Gazzetta Football Italia, from this day in 1995.
Featuring that changing Channel 4 logo, the instantly recognisable theme music, Gianluca Vialli, Kenneth Wolstenholme, and of course James Richardson.
Pure class. 🇮🇹
So that’s two of the “Raise the Colours” organisers now charged with violent crimes & a fifth of the 2024 race rioters with domestic abuse. Makes you wonder whether “innocent patriotism” & “protecting women & girls” are just covers for thuggish racism & misogyny?
