I never in my life have rooted for severe weather to impact an outdoor sporting event.
Until today.
(Caveat: I have DEFINITELY rooted for rain and snow, but not lightning, hail, etc.)
And before I hear “but it’s a privilege, no matter the president!”…you see what the place looks like, right? The White House now looks like a small county fairground. And participation screams “pick me for your fraternity!”
I was hoping it was AI but sounds like I’m done with TP and RC and maybe others after today. Disappointing behavior from some of my heroes growing up and even rooted for as an adult. Not entirely surprised though.
Someone in my R-CPD fb group posted a video of her first try at carbonation and the way I scrolled quickly past that…y’all I know this disaster for me right now and don’t want to see it for anyone else. Even though I do miss Diet Coke like crazy.
If you were on 85 south near Archdale this afternoon and saw a woman doing the dance from “Stop” by Spice Girls with her non-driving hand, mind your own business and stay in your lane, literally.
People much better and smarter than me can speak to the social aspect of warnings and have great methods to alert people to their danger. I don’t have that skill. To be blunt, shut up and listen to the experts tonight.
Hey Chicago area friends, it’s gonna be a rough few hours for you, with chances of tornadoes, hail, straight line winds, flooding, etc. PLEASE stay weather aware tonight, don’t go out if you don’t have to, and don’t be pissed when networks break into the Cup finals tonight.
The number of people saying “we had no warning” because they didn’t hear sirens indoors but their phones went off and they didn’t think it was for them…also disheartening.
