After MBT Intervention, Hospital Waives Rs/ 5.0 Lakhs and Releases Body of Sana Khanum :

Smt. Sana Khanum (w/o Mohammed Arif), resident of H. No: 9-15-124/1, Ahmedpura Colony, Nizamabad, who was suffering from Blood Cancer, was admitted to Yashoda Hospital Somajiguda on 1st April 2026. She sadly passed away on 15th April 2026.

The total hospital bill amounted to Rs/ 9.52 lakhs. Her husband, Mohammed Arif, who is financially very poor, had managed to pay Rs/ 3.0 lakhs through public contributions, donations, and support from well-wishers and Praja Darbar.

Initially, the hospital authorities insisted on payment of the remaining Rs/ 6.52 lakhs and reportedly withheld the dead body, causing immense distress to the bereaved family.

Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman, MBT) took up the issue and represented it before Sri Anumula Revanth Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister Telangana and Sri Cilarapu Damodar Raja Narasimha MinisterforHealthTelangana, seeking immediate intervention on humanitarian grounds.

Following their intervention, the management of Yashoda Hospital Somajiguda waived Rs/ 5.0 lakhs and released the dead body of Sana Khanum to her family.

The family members of the deceased have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman, MBT) for his timely intervention and efforts in ensuring that the mortal remains were released, enabling them to perform the last rites with dignity.

Amjed Ullah Khan also thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Health Minister for their prompt response and humanitarian support in resolving the matter.
