@MayorLucasKC@QuintonLucasKC As for Atlanta, there was the tragedy of the bombing at Centennial Olympic Park. And there were major problems with bus transportation. https://t.co/zLS8OYMAhg
@QuintonLucasKC "We are grateful there was no loss of life." We are also very lucky there was no loss of life. With 9 people hit by gunfire it would not have been surprising if there had been a death.
@QuintonLucasKC Yes, there are good things happening this weekend. But let's not close our eyes to the fact that this is hardly a normal weekend. "9 injured in mass shooting" is a shocking reminder of the violence in Kansas City.

@KSHB41 Nine people were injured in a mass shooting at around 4 a.m. Saturday in the 7900 block of Troost Avenue. And we are just now hearing about it over 14 hours later? At the risk of understatement, I hope we hear a lot more about this very soon. @QuintonLucasKC@JDuncanKC
@KSHB41@BabyGamz "You can't establish a viewpoint that x or y thing is bad because the government has said so." I think SCOTUS said you can't treat one viewpoint differently from another viewpoint, i.e., Justice Kagan called the Colorado law "textbook" viewpoint discrimination. @QuintonLucasKC

What happens now? Will ORDINANCE NO. 26XXXX be assigned to a committee for review before coming back to the full Council for a vote? When might those steps happen?
@QuintonLucasKC Our Argentinian visitors certainly had a memorable first night in town. It's too bad that a tornado warning was their first impression of Kansas City.
@washingtonpost If Trump does his usual schtick and rambles on about his greatness and the evil of his opponents, that seems less than ideal for putting people in a party mood.
@TomGerend@thekccurrent@kcstreetcar I boarded the streetcar at UMKC at about 11:00. At the next stop (the Plaza) it got pretty full, and it stayed pretty packed until it reached the stadium at about 11:40.
@KSHB41@claire_ontheair Good luck with "taking an education-first approach to e-ride safety." E-scooters have been in Kansas City for 8 years, and people still illegally ride them on the sidewalks. And now the e-bikes have added to the hazard for pedestrians on the sidewalks of Kansas City.
