No matches again this wknd. However pitch repaired and cleaned up from Tuesday nights match. Now for a few days rest before the next Match this coming Tuesday.
How to ruin a non league Fa cup live matchβ¦β¦. Shitty plastic pitch, with shitty portable goals with wheels on.
And before the shitty plastic pitch lovers start boring me with the finances about my tweet. Do your homework. Rant over!
Monday morning divoting. They joys of the weather turning and games rolling in thick and fast.
Todays about repair and prepare ready for tomorrowβs next game which seeβs @RandHUFC back at home in the league.
Plenty of rain last couple of days. Pitch sprayed yesterday evening to help control the worms casting.
Morning prep today. Little soft on the surface but good to goo.
Good luck to @AFCRD and Tom and the lads.
I feel like Ben Lord should be rocking up with a zimmer frame itβs been so long since @RandHUFC last played a home league match. Anyways pitch all prepped. Looking well considering the amount of games played on it since R&H last here. Feel like today is last of the good weather.
Not to shabby as we are about to roll in to October.
Worms becoming a bit to active for my liking. But considering the use the pitch has had Iβll settle for this.
Prep done today ahead of @AFCRD next home league match tomorrow.
Finally rolled in at 7pm this evening after instructing teams on warm ups. Great to get the boots off, get some food and chill down the bar watching some footy with a beer. (Missβs is United fan. Not me) lol
Been busy also covering ground with some other jobs to help out.
Not just a groundsman but cleaner (anyone who knows me knows I love cleaning) Iβm not normal lol.
Repairs and tidying areas around ground.
Busy couple of days getting pitch round from wknd games and kids fun day.
Switched pattern back to normal wider bays.
Should be a few days rest for pitch but tonight another added fixture with Diamonds hosting Peterborough United u23s in a friendly. Pitch just holding in there
Prepped and ready for @AFCRD first home league match.
Pitch looking tired in places with a run off home friendlies and kids summer soccer schools. Final week of them next week then some much needed rest and additional pitch works.
Pitch cut, marked and fed. Not ideal feeding day before a game. But with some rain about wknd and pitch getting lots of use over the next 4 weeks with friendlies and summer soccer schools.
I felt it needed a boost to give it every chance possible to handle the use better.
Also completed lots of out of season jobs. Goal post maintenance. New nets and re adjusted net supports to new position. New corner sockets and poles. We also invested in some new hoses and sprinklers which work on timers. So allows us to monitor watering better.
