But as long as filipino in Philippines the law there applies. Whats happening is people marrying online and not taking them out of country first

Though as i said before the physical location is probably what they are basing it off of. If the filipino doesnt leave Philippines soil then their laws apply to them.

The Philippines recognizes marriages from other countries that are legal there thus if legal utah, recognized as legal by us government as legal marriage it becomes legal in Philippines because its legal US marriage.

Though I think it would help if both parties out of country where the pilipinas law doesnt technically govern over either party.
