@TravisSCouture Turned mine in last week! Urging all fellow Rochester residents to do the same and vote for you! (Although, at this point, it feels like common sense…) :)
You have to be 16 to drive.
You have to be 18 to vote.
You have to be 21 to drink.
You have to be 25 to rent a car.
Why are teachers talking to our kids about sexuality at 12?
Why are kids encouraged to mutilate their bodies at 13?
This gender ideology madness needs to end.
Animal abusers do not belong in civilized society. Anyone capable of torturing, starving, beating, or neglecting an innocent animal is deeply disturbed.
These people are not “misunderstood.” They are dangerous.
Stop treating animal cruelty like a minor offense. They shouldn’t be walking freely among decent human beings.
This is so disgusting in so many ways. Leave your “pets” out of your addiction. And yes, it actually does make you a horrible person if you expose an innocent animal to drugs. Despicable beyond comprehension. I can’t believe this is where we’re at.
I planned to be less angry at the world today, then I saw this flyer spotted by @weheartseattle. Homeless drug addicts are being told that it's an "accident" if they expose their pets to deadly drugs and it "does not make you a bad person." YES IT DOES.
‘She was up until 3am on her phone’
‘I can’t get that phone away from him’
‘It’s all these things he’s seeing online’
‘She’s always on social media’
YOU ARE THE PARENT.
YOU. ARE. THE. PARENT.
Schools spend hours trying to “reach” the kid who openly doesn’t care, while the kid who tries every day quietly gets ignored. We’re exhausting ourselves chasing resistance instead of investing in effort.
I’ve covered a few PE classes lately & I’ve never been more convinced that every student, in every grade, should have PE daily & we should make the standards more rigorous. Lack of movement + social media/phones is destroying kids’ physical + mental health. Adults need to step in
J.D. Haltigan just delivered a warning on the weaponization of feminine empathy:
“A lot of judges are [of] this whole restorative justice mentality of not really punishing criminals legally and holding them accountable because of this feminine impulse to care for the offender.”
“That can lead to a very severe society destabilizing situation when criminals are being punished more leniently because the judicial system has become feminized.”
“And the idea of punitive incarceration or punitive punishment is seen as too unfair or unjust.”
“That’s really where the feminization of the legal system could come into a situation where it really impacts the mental health of a society: if criminal conduct is not punished appropriately.”
@JDHaltigan
"Embracing empathy" continues to wreck our nation in every possible way. This ethos must be thoroughly sanitized. Telling the truth is what matters. It is real empathy.
Another way of looking at this phenomenon is: We have accepted & normalized mental illness in all of our institutions for far too long. The results have been & will continue to be catastrophic.
If your head is spinning from all the studies about problems facing young people, here's a list of 30 of them in one place.

As a teacher, this is what I want to say to SOME parents:
Stop making excuses for your kids. STOP IT. Teach them to earn things, not demand things. Hold them to a higher standard. Challenge them. That way, when I try to challenge them, they’ll know we both expect it.
You know who LOVES discipline in schools?
The 25 other kids in a classroom who AREN'T cussing out their teacher, want to learn, and want the misbehaving kid kicked out of class
I am tired of "mental illness."
I am sick of people claiming that they cannot do normal things required of normal people in life because they have "anxiety" or "depression" or "ADHD."
This is bullshit.
If you lived in any other time in history (or in many other places in the world), you would have no choice but to get on with it.
Claiming you can't do basic things like buy groceries, go to work, cook, or go outside and engage with human beings or the world because of "anxiety" or "depression" only makes your problems worse, and is also not true! Of course you can do these things! You just don't want to. And maybe it's hard. And I understand that these things can feel hard when you're struggling, but the question is: do you want to get better? Do you want your life to improve?
If so, you have to get on with it! You have to do things you don't want to do like go outside and see people and go to work and go to the gym and walk your dog and get off the couch.
I swear to god we were better off when all these labels for various normal humans and experiences didn't exist.
