We would like to share @NetJets certainty, but your decision to lower pilot flight time minimums to meet hiring goals rather than to compete for pilot talent makes it impossible for us to do so. https://t.co/7INCopiAwO #PilotShortage#NotCompetitive
Working as a NetJets pilot is one of the most challenging jobs in aviation. To understand what differentiates a career at NetJets from one at a Part 121 carrier, watch our brief video. | https://t.co/WKdI0vq4LY

An extraordinary demonstration of solidarity, NJASAP hosted the largest informational picket in NetJets history outside the #BerkshireHathaway Shareholders’ Meeting on May 6. It drew 800-plus off-duty members & their families https://t.co/F2jGLuOSnM #NotCompetitive#PilotShortage
In an extraordinary demonstration of unity + collective resolve, hundreds of pilots and their family members are gathered in Columbus to support the Hometown Informational Picket // https://t.co/7INCopiAwO // #Aviation#UnionStrong#PilotShortage#NotCompetitive

Question:
Should the ball be rolled back for professional golfers?
Dear @USGAMike,
I have a few questions regarding your chat with @MichaelBreed.
https://t.co/lcpvVEHQfO many total courses have needed to buy 17+ acres?
2.Specifically, which courses?
3.Why did they need to buy the land? As noted in Report #33 of the USGA’s distance insight report (“How Courses Change”), courses expand footprint primarily for the addition or expansion of a practice facility.
Regarding your predictions for the future:
https://t.co/iOeEGIR3qV many total courses will need to purchase additional land in the future? Your statement on this seems to contradict the previously mentioned report #33. That report indicated that almost all lengthening of golf courses was done within the existing footprint of the course and no additional land was needed. Is that study wrong? If it is wrong, are there other findings in the distance insight report that are wrong? If yes, which findings are wrong?
5.Specifically, which courses will need to purchase additional land?
https://t.co/U4quwpMsoy much land will each course need to purchase?
7.What was the process to estimate which courses needed to purchase land and how much land they will need need to purchase?
8.What year is it estimated that this land will need to be purchased?
Based on your statements to Michael, I assume you have the data to answer the questions above. If you don’t have this data, what were your statements based on?
I have read all 56 studies in the USGA’s distance insight report and don’t recall seeing the data to answer the questions above. Perhaps I missed it and you can point me in the right direction?
If the data does not exist in the publicly available reports, are there private report(s) the USGA has not released yet? If there are private report(s), will they be released? This data would add to the discussion.
You also stated that if the 30,000 courses around the world want to keep up with elite level golf, they need to find an investment plan.
Are you advocating that every golf course around the world needs to be able to host elite level golf? It would seem to me as a “guardian of the game” you should be doing the opposite…. Strongly encouraging golf courses to stop lengthening.
The USGA created the “tee it forward” campaign in 2011 because amateurs are playing tees too long for the distance they hit the ball. Amateur distance is essentially unchanged since 2011.
According to the guidelines set in place by the USGA, nearly 50% of the courses in the USA are long enough for the longest 0.75% of amateur players. That’s right… about half the courses are long enough for the longest less than 1%. Why do we need more longer courses? As the person in charge of a governing body do you think you should be encouraging golf courses to STOP adding back tees and not be telling them they need to think about an investment plan to lengthen?
You stated all 30k courses around the globe need to prepare for elite level play. Do you have data that supports the number of courses that desire to host elite level play? Is it every course on the globe? If it’s not every course, how many courses is it?
Thanks for your time and I look forward to your answers to the questions above.
Regards,
Lou
