Deleting WhatsApp chats, storage still full.

Not a bug.
WhatsApp intentionally saves all photos/videos in 4 hidden folders.
I thought it was clean, turns out still stuck with 14.7GB.

Here's how to clean it:

Gak ada file manager, tapi caranya sama:

WhatsApp → Settings → Storage
→ Review and Delete Items
Terus
Settings → Chats → Save to Camera Roll → OFF

FOLDER #4 : Status orang (yang paling ngumpet)

File Manager → WhatsApp → Media → .Statuses

Folder ini gak keliatan di galeri.
Isinya semua story WA yang pernah lo liat.
Pilih semua → Delete.
Gue dapet 1,6GB.

FOLDER #3 : Old Database (Android)

Open File Manager
→ Internal Storage → WhatsApp → Databases

Delete all msgstore-2024-xx.db files
KEEP ONLY 1 most recent file.
Each file 300-500MB.
I deleted 7 files = 2.8GB

FOLDER #2: Media from chats that have been deleted

Back to Manage Storage
→ select each large chat

DON'T press 'Select All'.
Select only 'Photos' and 'Videos'
→ delete

The chat itself remains, but the media is gone.
I got 4.1GB.

FOLDER #1 : Forwarded Many Times

On the same page
→ scroll to 'Larger than 5MB'

Delete all forwarded videos.
Then tap 'Forwarded Many Times'
I got 6.2GB from here.
It's just family group videos.

WhatsApp → Settings → Storage and Data
→ Manage Storage

Look at the number at the very top.
Mine: 18.3GB
even though important chats are only 2GB.
