The jail deaths crisis at LMDC continues to shatter families. Last night we stood with Shawna Hughes's son at a vigil that was held in her honor a week after she died in the facility. We will continue our work to end deaths at LMDC. An arrest should not mean a death sentence.

In 2003, a worker was killed and an ammonia cloud was released in the Highlands when the same facility (then called D.D. Williamson & Co.) exploded.

In the aftermath, residents called for it to move. It was rebuilt after a $600K fine. #Louisville
